I think this is misleading.My understanding of the concept of passive aggression is that
it's the elaboration of personal suffering for the purposes of
emotional blackmail.

That is a type of passive aggression but the umbrella definition is aggression through inaction.Like sitting on your arse and taking an hour to get ready to ensure that your partner is late to the thing they really wanted to go to.
