i'm going to assume that's rhetorical and that you don't really think i know a lot about lamps ;)
though thinking about it, with two shades you'd get two different diffusions at the same time, a brighter light nearer the lamp itself and softer further away.
however i can't imagine it'd be all that effective with those shades, plus they're hideous.
imho i think that rooms just crying out for a plasma ball.
