It was exactly the oppositeit got everything it needed into the film, wihout about 400 pages of waffle, which the book has. seriously, you could skip those 400 pages and not lose anything important from the story

I'll agree with you on LOTRThe only of this series that I even attempted to read was The Hobbit, and got bored after a dozen pages. There's not many books that can put me off reading them that quickly.
