And while I'm ranting,I'm going to think of something unpleasant to do to my supervisor when he gets back from the US. He took a paid speaking session at a conference and told us only two days before he went that he was presenting out woefully unfinished work. The sort of work that takes months to complete.

Fook.Maybe we should start two parties that appeal to the rabidly right and rabidly left. That way, when no-one votes for anyone else, those two get the top votes. We then completely alienate all the wing-nuts by making a coalition government of the two with suddenly rational people who had previously been spouting rather far-right/left views...
