ah, that'll be because I'm in the middle of switching hosting providers, Fasthosts can go fuck themselves

busy uploading the files to the new host, got to L in the b3ta directory (of over 2000 files)

I get about 5.5mbit down and 1.1mbit up, friends about 1/4 mile away get 6mbit and 10mbit speeds, the phone wires are very old

i was going to suggest bethere.
i was with them when i was in the uk, i had 18mb dl and 2mb up

are you using the main phone test socket? I imagine you've tried all the solutions to improve your speed

unlimited downloading with no throttling is great, I've been kicked off at least 3 ISPs for over-using packages that were called Unlimited in the title or had Unlimited in the details

yeah only using the main socket with no extentions on it
