My main concern is file size, because some of these ideas could lead to fucking MASSIVE .GIF files.

I might just take it one step further and have a go at proper animation again, in Flash, etc.

Damn you Instagram now all my social media feeds are chocked up with crap photos with crap filters slapped on them! If it's not a great photo to begin with, it's unlikely that banging a generic and cliche filter over the top will make a singificant difference. Grr.
