i also like the idea that they couldn't tell if it was meant to be an insult. so far as i understand, he called ferdinand a black cunt, or something very similar.

how is it possible that that *wasn't* an insult?

obviously there's degrees of harshness in terms of delivery but however it's said it's somewhere on the insult scale and probably not that close to the bottom.
