I don't recall a single Bible being used at primary schoolWe were given Gideon's copies of the Gospels in an Assembly once but it wasn't even by the school and I don't know if the headteacher appreciated it. I also firmly believe that next to no Christians read the Bible - at best, they read the Gospels, which are a tiny fragment of the entire book - and pretend they've read the Epistles, but evidently haven't since they argue that Christianity is not anti-gay (it is; or at least it is if we're being told that Paul was divinely inspired) or anti-woman (it is; same reasons). And even those who have read the Epistles and somehow reconciled them with not being a total cunt argue that the Old Testament is irrelevant.
How is it irrelevant? If it's irrelevant, why is it two thirds of the Bible? And where in the OT does it ever say that the 'Law' can be 'fulfilled', and what the fuck does it mean to 'fulfill' a Law in the first place? Christ openly contradicts himself when he talks about the Law, both saying it will never be overturned 'until the Kingdom is come' (which it clearly isn't), and also saying that it's not important because only Christ is important. Because that doesn't sound big-headed.
