To be fair we were "missing the point".
He never told us what that point was, but I bet it was good.
You can't argue with SCIENCE (I missed all their science too. Was it so cutting-edge that us mere mortals could not understand it? Maybe the 'point' was a singularity and to reveal it would cause our tiny brains to implode).
