But can you imagine what this place would be like if no one bothered to put any effort into being mindful of file sizes, especially given the amount of image replies that happen in threads?

I should imagine it would signal the Armageddon

# well, you have something of a point there,
if every still was 200KB, and anims were 1MB, page total 100MB, it may take a minute or more to load fully. so go take a dump, or put the kettle on, have a wank. it's just a few moments longer, not the end of the world.

or get cable. move house if you need to, it's worth it.
