# How come Han Solo went into the carbonite machine with his hands tied and when he came out frozen his hands were free?
Did he manage to get his hands free earlier on and was just waiting for his moment to strike?

but he does have some kind of strap holding his arms in at the elbows (which explains the weird arms up pose - but not where that strap goes when he's thawed out in the next film)
