I assumed it was going to be as disappointing as the blair witch project.
Although I apparently missed THE scary bit of that because I went for a piss.

Didn't think much of Blair Witch; watched it again for the first time in years last week.
I think after PA4, this whole 'found footage' thing should be put to bed; they're just scraping the bottom of the barrel now, and let's be honest, a majority of them aren't very good.

I never really find horror films scary anyway. Which is a shame.
I'm quite jealous of people who get properly shitted up - it must be quite a cathartic experience.

The only people who are scared by horror movies are people who don't like them
That is why they don't like them

So who are the twits who pay to go and see them?
The people who don't like them, or the people who don't find them scary?

You don't have to find them scary to enjoy them
It's kind of like the movies that are billed as "comedies", but aren't funny

I don't enjoy comedies that aren't funny.
I like comedies that are funny, pretentious arthouse films and the Terminator series - even the 3rd one, oh yeah.

My favorite horror movies tend to be black comedies
An American Werewolf, Evil Dead 2 and the like

Oh yes - I remember really liking reanimator.
That's about all I remember now. Can't remember any of the plot, etc - just that I liked it.

I think true horror isn't something that jumps out and screams in your ear.
Something like Kairo, a film that builds up an atmosphere rather than shit you up every few minutes, is usually more effective in terms of horror. The Japanese do this very well.

Japanese movies are probably the creepiest ones

Should I check it out? It's not one of those ones where children get butchered is it?
I don't think I'd like that, especially now I'm a parent. I know it's clichéd, but it does change your sensibilities a little. /fucks off back to mumsnet

It's... I almost don't want to say anything about it, it'll ruin it.
But it involves a Moggy type character... or rather, what Moggy would do if she took someone hostage.
