Edit: Also, Gimp 2.8 on the Mac is a laggy piece of shit and one of the more unpleasant experiences one can have on a computer, no matter how good one's imagination may be. Don't use it, it's shit.

# Upgraded to 2.8 on Linux a few weeks ago, after using 2.6 for years.
Took a little getting used to (still not sure about having to use 'export' every time I was to save in a different format), but works fine on my ageing laptop.
