but at the minute I'm not panicking, in my field contracts tend to be awarded late Spring for work starting October, and I'm totally out of sync with it. (Also: funding has been cut horrifically, but there are still alternatives for a man happy enough to jump countries, and until then the Norwegians are pretty generous with benefits...)
