it's a bit like smelling our own farts....everybody's smell vile but our own smell ok.Likewise, when working on a meme (which can be fun)as opposed to not being in the mood to see another (ever again)haha...if you get my drift.I try not to do them too often myself but in this case it could have been any number of headswaps(usual suspects) or even (dare I say) a kitten :
having said that...I would recommend doing your first "flan" purely as an exercise....bet you end up chuckling while you do it :D

Think the pictures are gone now, but there's a set on Flickr somewhere. It's very weird seeing them in poses other than the ones we're used to.

At least the 'bases are being used in different images, that requires at least a modicum of creativity. The complaints about them are always the same complaints.
