They made all his badass armours seem like fragile paper sculptures.He fought a GOD (thor) in the Avengers and put up a damn good fight, but in IM3 his armours seemed really weak. The ending was a total surprise too - in a bad way.

Yeah - they just 'fixed' her, like she had a headache or something.That film had more plot holes and McGuffins than any film in recent memory.

The Extremis Virus is a pretty potent weapon in the Marvel Universe.It enhanced strength to crazy levels, granted Wolverine-like healing abilities and allowed the host to generate as much heat as The Human Torch.
The fact Iron Man's armours fell victim to it shouldn't really come as a surprise.
