Mine can't have been the only school where a 'terrible accident with a javelin' was alleged to have occurred, even though nobody seemed to have anything more substantial to go on than the ever-flimsy statement 'My brother reckons...'

That and every sports teacher I'v ever had.....has had to take some unfortunate pupil to A and E with their eye hanging out of its socket, due to towel flicking in the changing rooms, they all of course went blind in one eye as a consiquence..
