# :D
After watching that over and over, think I've finally got it.
The scene with his wife in the bed isn't wish-fulfilment fantasy, it's another memory - Lenny found and killed John G (and got the 'I've done it tattoo') while his wife was still alive. His wife realises that even killing a man doesn't give him closure after he continues his quest (continually forgetting she exists when he can't see her) and takes her own life by his hand. He is then locked up in the hospital (that split second in the Jankis 'flashback') and subsequently sprung by Teddy. Every scene afterwards, the chest tattoo isn't visible because Lenny is consciously blanking it out (deliberately selecting what to remember and perceive, in order to keep his quest going).
Anyone agree/disagree with this?

# Kinda makes sense, but can you explain why Frodo took so long to realise that Gandalf was his and Princess Leia's father?
