To be fairThey had to start making Edinburgh's Hogmanay fireworks ticket-only for the prime locations (free tickets though) to limit the numbers. It had become such a popular event that it was bloody dangerous to have so many people packed into one area like that. Even with tickets it was a bit packed.

I love fireworksbut I maybe simple. How they will enforce a £10 entry should be interesting but why so many people spend hours of crushing with a bottle of Liebfraumilch waiting to see some fireworks because it's New Year puzzles me.
