Shout out to former Australian foreign minister, Gareth Evans, for saying he 'wanted to acknowledge fault where such acknowledgment is appropriate'. That's non-apology poetry, man

Which would have been fine. But he actually said "and more broadly to everybody who cares passionately about the causes I care about, including saving the planet for our children and our grandchildren."

What kind of please-don't-hate-me bullshit is that? Did he seriously think he'd get out and maybe pick up his political career where he left off?
