I'll feel bad now if I find out she has some sort of medical condition that stops her meeting anyone's gaze, or stay looking in one direction for long,or thinking straight.

It's called Conservatism.There is actually growing medical evidence that right wing voters are paranoid, do lack empathy, and are prone to magical thinking. One day there might be a pill to cure it.
