on a business trip to Sweden a few years ago, and when I was introduced to the CEO he said "Welcome to Sweden, we do all speak like the Swedish Chef. Bork bork bork."

# I needed it!
They sent me all on my own, I was about 23, staying in a hotel by myself in a strange country, in February - it was -11C!!! And they've never heard of vegetarianism in Stockholm.

# really?
about that time was when I met my swedish friend, and she was amazed our mcdonalds didn't have a veggie burger option like theirs did - and she was in stockholm studying to be a doctor.

# were you given
lots of fish? They're the same in Norway, even McDonalds and Burger King didn't have veggie alternatives..

# I don't eat fish
the hotel I was staying in just couldn't get their heads around what I wanted, and took me into the kitchen to point at what I wanted them to cook for me.

At lunchtimes I lived on dry rolls and crisps cos I couldn't get anything else to eat.

# Poor you..
I don't eat fish either - they couldn't understand why I didn't find a huge bowl of fresh prawns appetising.. And the only alternative was potato salad!

If you watch 'A Muppet Christmas Carol' really closely, Beaker flips Michaels Caine's Scrooge the middle finger. Really.
