i lucked outwhen i got married. no cars involved, walked across the street from reception venue/hotel to the place we were getting married at and absolutely no rain! in March! yay! though we still have our giant umbrella we bought in case it did rain. which hubby managed to bop the pointyends on my head the last time we used it when we were out. they're fine if you're not on small pavements with loads of people (eg walking in a field to visit the ducks).
