Best do the whole thing in spaceIts going to be the only sure way to have enough room. Perhaps they could form an orbiting power station thing. Fleets of space shuttles could bring the Tonka toys up for them to eat. I would like to power a vast orbiting range of home appliances that could protect us from comet and asteroid strikes. A sandwich toaster should do for the comets, and some kind deepfat fryer or breadmaker for the asteroids.
