truebut there are some older peripherals that won't work unless you turn off USB 2.0 functionality, like 1st gen webcams and the like. That's what I heard, anyway

In order to actually be USB2.0they must comply with the USB specifications, therefore they must be compatible with USB1.1. There probably are some corners cut, and if you can, avoid ALi USB ports. They suck arse. got to www.usbman.com for lots of info. Very useful and free.
