I think it's the smug '10% better than jesus stuff'whereby he expects us all to bow down and say he's amazing, which isn't really how it works in this country, fortunately.
That said, irritating as he is, I too couldn't be arsed to go all the way there (well, one stop down from my office...) just to abuse him, in fact I couldn't be arsed to switch the telly on to watch him.
