they used to offer actual cash and lots of record vouchers/gift certificates and stuff.
All on the basis that once you've got an accoutn with them you'll stay with them and give them all your money.
Once you're 20 and unemployed and in debt they'll tell you to sod off.

with a guarantee card - because you've paid for it a postal order is like a guaranteed cheque, but more expensive.
