
msn chat, but msn groups, hotmail, msn messenger etc are all staying open. When they close msn chat, they'll also start blocking out 3rd party msn messenger clients.

this my not be M$'s fault, but I've always been amused by the fact that 40 spam messages arrived in my hotmail account before the 'welcome to hotmail' message arrived.

I think they said something about there being a need for an agreement (whatever that means) between MS and companies like Trillian. Not sure if that means they want to start charging them or if if it's less of an issue than I think it might be. As a linux user, I'm probably going to be blocked from msn messenger completely, but I'm still hopeful that they're just handling this really badly...
