# Life of Brian: Stones
HARRY THE HAGGLER: Stones, sir?
MANDY: Naah. They've got a lot there, lying around on the ground.
HARRY THE HAGGLER: Oh, not like these, sir. Look at this. Feel the quality of that. That's craftsmanship, sir.
MANDY: Hmmm. Aah, all right. We'll have, uh, two with points and... a big flat one.
BRIAN: Could I have a flat one, Mum?
MANDY: Shh!
BRIAN: Sorry. Dad.
MANDY: Ehh, all right. Two points, ah, two flats, and a packet of gravel.
HARRY THE HAGGLER: Packet of gravel. Should be a good one this afternoon.
MANDY: Hehh?
HARRY THE HAGGLER: Local boy.
MANDY: Oh, good.
HARRY THE HAGGLER: Enjoy yourselves.

# hehehehe...
any bids on the Mini yet?

Or are you keeping it? MAN, if I lived there it would be soo mine already.
(, Fri 10 Oct 2003, 18:12, archived)
# no
and no... I can't keep it, that's why it's being sold - I've got a cash offer anyway, and now it seems my brotherinlaw may possibly trade with me which means I'd retain visitation :D
(, Fri 10 Oct 2003, 18:13, archived)
# Very good then!
Trade for what, exactly?

Don't part with the Mini for any old thing.

# Sierra Estate
1.8 turbo diesel... much more suited to my needs, and almost as cheap to run as the mini
(, Fri 10 Oct 2003, 18:19, archived)
# Oh right on!
Diesel cars are few and far in between here. I'd rather like a diesel, because the PRICE of diesel hasn't gone up.

But don't they smell kind of funny?
(, Fri 10 Oct 2003, 18:25, archived)
# depends
when you're driving them, no not usually... just when you play with the fuel

they've been making it run cleaner and greener nowadays too, and there's "city diesel" and there's even whole how-to guides on how to use recycled chipfat from the local fish&chip shop - even including paying excise duties, you can end up paying less than a pound a gallon and getting the same kind of mileage and performance AND a nicer smelling car ;)
(, Fri 10 Oct 2003, 18:28, archived)
# lol...
if you get it you should put a sticker on it that says "Powered by Fish & Chips"
(, Fri 10 Oct 2003, 18:32, archived)
# and jammy dodgers!
mmmmmmmm
