I think
there may be people with other Sollihull type vehicles, but we'll try and ignore them.

bit hard if it's a chonking great V8!
Or a series IIa stuck in the mud right in front of where you're about to land!

True.
The V8 drivers seem to take the piss a bit, for example, when faced with a tricky, rocky climb:
Suzuki owners: Second gear, low range, full throttle. CHARGE!
V8 people: First gear, low range, foot completely off throttle. Bimble up slowly, wave at people as you pass.
Bastards. And they sound nice too.

I like going down hills...
steep hills....
low ratio...first....foot off throttle....2mph if that! The thing just hangs there!
Wish it had the V8 though!

For a 1.3
Suzukis have amazing holdback.
I love my Suzuki. Just wish it had suspension.
Edit: You got an automatic or manual?

Manual....
don't know if I want an auto, but might go that way if I get the 2.8 turbo D.

I'm told that
the autos are bombproof. The bloke I bought the Zuki off has a 3.5 (baby) V8 Rangie with an auto box, and says that it's great off-road. No messing around with the clutch when you suddenly realise you're in too high t a gear for the hill, and all that.
