they did a script for the tv show version, but when the studio/company wanted to watermelon about with it they turned the offer down because they wanted compelte control.

thats the right attitude, they wimpify the watermelon out of it - although networks are becoming more bogged down by standardised tv, there are still networks who take on content and allow artists control. Good to know they got to that stage tho.
