I add that it doesn't hurt anyone directly, especially late at night. but if it is unchecked, it could go overboard, and defeat both the purpose of the faq, and the purpose of the board. it needs to be said sometime. the newer people (for the most part) are the ones who don't know that it's frowned upon, so they get told.

no reason not to be polite. the people who think I'm being mean have not had the "luck" to try this for the daytime crowd. (especially baz, when he was here). I come off mean because they don't know how nice I am in comparison
