I own my own telly, all 28inches of it, and surround sound will continue to be an overrated novelty until films start taking advantage of it (this will be a good thing)

but the film makers have yet to come up with anything good to do with it - they usually just drop something in to a couple of scenes, rather than the whole film (so you might hear a twig snap behind you during a tense moment, but that'll be it) - where's the total imersion?
