on a higher note, can anyone help me with making parts of layers on flash see-through? I can't seem to do it so I can only have one picture at once...

its a border round t' edges, but the bit in the middle that was see-through in potatoshop has pulled a whitey

and one of the border. import both to Flash and place on desired location. then set the middle alpha to transparent

put a mask on a layer in flash. If you're dealing with graphics though it might be easier to just cut out the picture in photoshop and then save it as a gif/png with transparency
