jack white is an excellent showman and they showcase an interesting range of influences... i can't complain about that

and you can never go wrong with blues as an influence

but their whole snooty analogue approach to recording irks me somewhat. especially when at the end of the day they're in it for the money and (record company pressure?) they release their work on CD

their work deserves to be exclusively on vinyl, would add to the mystique
