Cubase SLand a decent ASIO soundcard will do the job. I personally didn't have much luck with the (ancient) version of VST I had before, but that was probably due to the previous soundcard. I know at least one person who uses a version of VST32 in real time.

I've always been quite surethat I had some hadware problems, but I don't use it much and haven't spent much time dealing with it.
