can anyone guess what the 3 books & the magazine are?

dynamic HTML and javascript are the books, the third one might be something like history of videogaming, or something like that.

The way we worked out the JavaScript book was to measure the thickness of all the Orielly books we have in the office. Why? Because we're sad like that.

One of the downsides of no-longer living in Cambridge is not being able to pick up books like that cheap off leaving students :(

You are right about the o'reilly books. The video games book is called "Trigger Happy", (pretentious tripe) and the magazine is a print out of the remade Zapp64 (don't bother, it's not a good read.) that was mentioned in last weeks NTK.

O'Reilly's Dynamic HTML - the definitive reference, so I'm guessing the one below is the excellent JavaScript - the definitive guide.

The other book is that history of videogames (forgotten title) isn't it?

Is it Halo or Command & Conquer in the B&W image?
