add more layers...that'll smooth it out.. you need to patch the gap between the explosions... so there's less difference in the size of each one..
oh and you can adjust the length of time taken up by each layer as its played

it would if the frames incrementally increased the size of the explosionhe needs about 2-3 frames to fill each jump in the anim with more of the orange splodge getting bigger each time
