TJ: Ive got 29 days left on my free Flash. Can someone please tell me how to open a video file and save it as a gif? I will need to do it lots soon.

Edit- I thought ImageReady or Animation Shop can import videos and then save as gif after tweaked?

/edit ok ive clearly never looked properly. sorry.
however the movie I want is a .mps and imageready doesnt seem to support it. what can i do?

definitely has stuff about opening movie files and it is easy to find.

Then it'll ask you how many frames to import. One in 4 is usually good enough.

you can probably do that in quicktimepro or Premier.
