# it's asking me to install a
'viewpoint media player'
*distrustful of such things*

# sorry
don't know why

it's a 3D gallery of stuff I've seen on B3ta posted to my site.

Hoped it would work better

# i'm guessing that's what you need
to view the 3d-ness.

# it's java
is it not?

I'm seeing it fine, though. It did spack out my entire system for about thirty seconds while it loaded, though.

# its the 3D interactive gallery
in Adobe Photo Album

did you like it?
(, Sun 27 Jun 2004, 4:28, archived)
# it works great

I'm using IE 6.0 to see it now, and I'll try it out in Firefox, too, in a little bit. I get the whole musesum-looking interior and the pictures on the walls every so often, and when you click on them they show up in the panel space to the right. It's nice.

# did you try the autotour?
I'm really glad it's working for someone
(, Sun 27 Jun 2004, 4:39, archived)
# yes, the autotour works fine
it moves the view all around and appears to function the way it was intended, which seems to be to show all the pictures on the walls in the different rooms of the gallery

EDIT: I am surprised that it doesn't have a toggle indicator with the mouse pointer as it moves to an edge of the viewer. I was expecting an up or down or left or right arrow, or something, so that I could direct my view.

# I agree
I had expected that too. The auto tour is cool, but navigation is poor otherwise

thanks for all the comments
And helping with the test

# looking at the code it appears to have something to do with java
but i get a prompt asking me to install "The Viewpoint media player, a quick free download? by agreeing to this download you;re agreeing with terms etc etc etc blah blah blah"
It mentions something about adobe in there too.

# see, i'm not getting any of these things.
just some text on the side and white. whitey white white.

# Probably a safari thing
i very much doubt it, but maybe going directly to the page in the frame would work.
