I didn'tactually fail miserably. I failed spectacularly. Generally, my attempts to be normal occur when I try to speak with people who either have no sense of humour or are stupid. Either way, I end up being involved in a hilariously offensive conversation with someone who, very quickly, starts to think of me as the single greatest threat to their personal safety.

Could be true.Your hair is t3h awesome. I had the same theory. My hair's more random though. It looks good when it wants to, but normally it just makes me look crazy.
