I really did clean two keyboards in the dishwasher. And they worked fine afterwards (they took two days to dry, however).
And they looked brand new afterwards.
And again: I am serious, but be aware that it may not work all the time and the keyboard might die. Try at your own risk.
EDIT: The most important part is to take it out before the 'drying cycle', because the inside of the dishwasher becomes really hot and the heat WILL destroy the electronics. Thw water alone won't.
