# it's tradition in our cross country team
the day before our first meet, we eat fast food and watch movies in the coach's classroom

someone had the initiative to bring 'blue collar comedy tour'

larry the cable guy has to be hands down the worst comedian i've ever seen

# what kind of times do you run?
i ran a 16:44 5k the other day, first race of the season. not so special, i suppose.

on track my fastest mile is 4:32 and my 800 is 2:02.

# jeebus
you've got me beat in the 1-mile, i'm like 5:40

last 3-mile i ran was 18:08, i'm improving by about 30 seconds with every race we have

sorry, we don't measure by kilometers so i dunno how to compare your endurance runs

/edit: on second thought, we haven't run single miles as speed workouts, so i'm sure i could do better than 5:40

# well best of luck to you, good sir
and keep on rocking!

i decided today that after 6 years of competetive running, i don't care anymore. guilt keeps me from quitting, but i've decided to go really half-assed.
