Nice try but my spider is jet black and quite shiny, almost beetle-like.

I checked to see if it was a black widow, but it does not have the red hourglass.

But the markings on the back are very clear and well defined, just like in my drawing. Your one looks a little more wishy washy as it were.

then i think you'll find thet the spider is none other then Steatoda triangulosa.
it is a native UK spider, but is also the only native UK spider that is able to bite you, but don't worry, it's only happened about 5 times in the last 20 years, they're more scared of you. They originaten in the canarie island, but moved here because of the warm climate.
