simply because most people don't bother (or can't) read the instructions:

"We want you to add one word to a film's title, in order to change the meaning..."

I'm really enjoying this weeks compo, yeah, I agree, but it's not that bad is it?

Maybe a mod can go remove all the bad ones?

They remove compo entries that don't have an image etc every week? Why can't someone sit down for an hour and remove all the ones where somebody hasn't added a word?

because the line between a valid compo entry and not could be quite fuzzy in some situations, then you have a censorship debate.

it's about trying inspire folks to make each other laugh, not about being a rule pedant. Besides, one person's idea of a bad entry might make somebody else weep with laughter.

If you don't like what other people are posting, the best thing to do is make lots of pictures yourself to show them how it's done.
