my mum's got feral cats in the workshop at her house (our tennants run a cattery, so it's hardly surprising they've lost a couple)

there was a phone in the entrance bit of the block i was staying in (we were one of 9 blocks 3 rows of 3 in a Courtyard only with 1 block inthe middle, anyway it was 2am i was sitting on a chair leaning back on 2 legs against the wall on the phone to a mate and suddenly this cat walking past outside and me caught each others eye and just froze stared for a good 10 or 20 seconds.
I started whispering down the phone without moving my lips 'THERE'S A CAT STARING AT ME! IT WON'T STOP STARING!' Eventually i started smirking and the cat carried on staring then wandered off.
I went to have a look through the (glass) doors to see where it had gone and I saw another cat, then another and then i realised there were at least 20 cats roaming around the Court and that they must have done this every night, they take over. And i'd discovered their secret and they knew it.
