that I know will happen - hell, I did the same thing myself. Left my ex hubby cos he beat the shit out of me, but as soon as the ex boyf did I left...so it is possible to learn.
I just worry about her and wish there was something I could do.

Hell, so do I! Which reminds me....I'm seeing Dan next weekend.
He gave me shit for running away from my own insecurities and I know he's actually right.

Anwyay, as for my girlfriend...I've told her over and over that we have a spare room in the house and that she's always welcome to come live with us...saying that, she's very sheltered. Doesn't pay rent at her parents AND her parents bribe her to clean her room!

She's got that idea of 'love' off her folks - she probably doesn't love the twat at all but doesn't really know any different; nobody in their right mind would stay with some violent arsehole.................; maybe its a sense of 'adventure' for her. Completely different to the closeted home life she's got.....

Like I said, she doesn't pay rent, her parents smother love her and let her do what she wants, she knows how cushy she has it.
She can't live in "the real world" and sadly, it's very typically Californian.....:(

i can never understand women or to a lesser extent men that put up with anything like that. it is always easy to say just leave em though, but it is never *that* easy.... but leave em there's no excuse. and remember there are organisations out there for her to talk too if she wishes
