for the last year your best friend is having the shit beaten out of her by her boyfriend, refuses to leave him 'because she loves him' then calls you at 1am from a hotel because he kicked her out with nothing except just her pj's on?

1) give HER a kicking for being fucking stupid
2) arrange for HIM to have a kicking for being a cnut.
Separate the 2 with a bargepole.
Simple :)

That is really sad bu REALLY pisses me off
Why do these women fall for these twats when there are decent loving blokes out there (like me and others) who would love unconditionally without all this violence shit. She loves him ? can't possibly be true......I'm really sure she loves receiving a beating.
For advice however, you just have to take her under your wing and really make her listen this time.

because after my ex hit me once, I left him and she's like well done....yet she knows what he does to her, she's not happy and she will not leave because she's frightened of being 'alone'. She's 28, still lives with her parents - she has two wonderful friends (me and my other best friend) who are both there for her night and day. She's coming over this afternoon and i know she'll be back at his place tonight....

just stress that there are decent people out there in the ether who are also afraid of being alone but DO NOT subject themselves to this sort of shit.
Point her in my direction or some other nice blokes.

to be serious on the board, but no funny aspect to that one! All i can say is use the situation to finally get her away from the a-hole.

some girls have it inbuilt and even if you get her away from him, she'll probably end up with someone equally cuntish. In the short term, help her by letting her stay with you for a while and then get her doing something productive. sorry. :(

that I know will happen - hell, I did the same thing myself. Left my ex hubby cos he beat the shit out of me, but as soon as the ex boyf did I left...so it is possible to learn.
I just worry about her and wish there was something I could do.
I didn't mean to bring the board down but I kind of wanted outsider advice.

Hell, so do I! Which reminds me....I'm seeing Dan next weekend.
He gave me shit for running away from my own insecurities and I know he's actually right.
Anwyay, as for my girlfriend...I've told her over and over that we have a spare room in the house and that she's always welcome to come live with us...saying that, she's very sheltered. Doesn't pay rent at her parents AND her parents bribe her to clean her room!

to get her away from her parents otherwise she's gonna be fucked up for the rest of her life. She's got that idea of 'love' off her folks - she probably doesn't love the twat at all but doesn't really know any different; nobody in their right mind would stay with some violent arsehole.................; maybe its a sense of 'adventure' for her. Completely different to the closeted home life she's got.....

Like I said, she doesn't pay rent, her parents smother love her and let her do what she wants, she knows how cushy she has it.
She can't live in "the real world" and sadly, it's very typically Californian.....:(

i can never understand women or to a lesser extent men that put up with anything like that. it is always easy to say just leave em though, but it is never *that* easy.... but leave em there's no excuse. and remember there are organisations out there for her to talk too if she wishes
