# my quick question:
is an mp3 player (one of those solid-state teeny-tiny things) a good xmas present for a dad who likes music/hates carrying cd players?

its only £30, 128MB, FM Radio and LCD, or £10 more for double the memory.

he's also getting more interested in computers recently.

any thoughts?

It's a useful and fun present, and you can have bonding moments as you show him all its bells and whistles.
But I'd go the extra £10.

and the two look different.

i might have to buy the 256Mb, open it, see what its like then give it my dad. i could get away with that by putting his favourite songs on it.
