He's a thoroughly nice chap and his autobiography, the name of which I forget, is a good read.
I once met him in a hotel where he'd opened a science fiction convention (because of his Star Wars connection), but he seemed really chuffed that I asked him about Grange Hill! Apparently he's still good friends with the actor who played Danny Kendall
